November Favorites

With Black Friday upon us, I wanted to make sure that I published my November favorites in time for my readers to keep an eye out for them on sale this weekend. Each of these items are things that I couldn’t have lived without this past month (slight exaggeration, but not really).

I’ve made sure to link all of the mentioned products here in my blog, along with similar items that I think you might like just as much.

Ardell Faux Mink Lashes

With holiday glam comes a need for a fab pair of lashes to complete the look. I’ve always been so impressed with the quality and cost of Ardell lashes, but their new faux mink releases are changing the game. These are so comfortable to wear, extremely natural looking (as natural as a false lash can be, anyways), and the faux mink gives a little added fluff that makes them stand out against so many other options out there.

Black Oak Candles

Black Oak  candles was started by my cousin, Will Dockery, as a nonprofit to support the effort to preserve Lewis Park in Fayetteville, Arkansas. In the future, Black Oak candles plans to continue using their profits to help conserve green spaces. These candles are made of soy wax and essential oils that make your home smell like heaven within minutes of lighting them. Right now, we’re burning Ohh Christmas tree, Cranberry Carol, and Cinnamon in our apartment, and it has been magical. These handmade, high quality candles will make your house smell like the holidays, all while supporting local parks.

Heated Throw Blanket

If you’re always cold like I am, this is a great item to treat yourself to. With the cold weather making it’s first appearances of the year, I had been swearing that I was going to buy an electric blanket. I finally did and I regret not purchasing one weeks ago. I picked up a faux fur Beautyrest throw (shown below) in the color sand, and it is just as high quality as it is attractive. It heats up in a matter of minutes, and keeps me (and Boogie) toasty during movie nights.

Dr. Bronner’s Peppermint Castile Liquid Soap

I’m a long time lover of Dr. Bronner’s soaps, lotions, lip balms, and toothpaste, but I’m new to the peppermint scent. That said, I’m never going back. It’s the freshest and cleanest scent imaginable, and it does this magical tingly thing that kind of feels like icy hot but better. Plus, the peppermint scent is completely on theme for the Christmas season. If you’re curious at all about Dr. Bronner’s products, grab a castle soap (all of the scents are perfection, so you honestly can’t go wrong) and pick up a good loofa – it seriously only takes about a teaspoon of this stuff to go over your whole body twice. These soaps are extremely cost effective, great for the environment, and 100% organic.

Fanola No Yellow Shampoo

This one isn’t necessarily only pertaining to Winter, but it’s something that I’ve seriously relied on since I got my hair done in October. Any natural brunette with balayaged or highlighted hair knows the struggle of avoiding brassiness. Luckily, my amazing colorist recommended Fanola no yellow shampoo to keep my naturally black hair from turning orange. I use my shampoo once a week, and it gets the job done. Considering the quality on top of how much product you get, the price is totally unbeatable. In addition to their shampoo, Fanola also sells hair masks and styling products.
